John & Rachel STERNER - MD->York Co., PA -> Cumberland Co., PA I am trying to find the ancestors of my John and Rachel STERNER who had a son Joseph baptized in 1822 at Sherman's Church in West Manheim Twp., York Co., PA, among other children. The family later moved into Hanover, York Co. and eventually into Cumberland Co., PA. 1850 census records indicate Rachel was born in Maryland. John died between 1846/47 probably in Cumberland County, PA. Can anyone determine the connection to the Maryland STERNER's/ STEINER's? Don Lerew [email protected]
