Faubel, Fouples, Foubles, Fauple and Fowble are all apparently the same family name that has been here in Baltimore County (prior to 1837) and now Carroll County, Maryland since about 1762 when a Peter Fouble purchased his first land grant on 16 July 1762, near Greenmount, which is near Manchester, Maryland. Peter was in Pa. in 1752, a blacksmith by trade. And purchased his first tract of land in Md. with Pa. currency. He immigrated from Germany. "The Fowble Family Tree" was complied by Anna May Albers, and "Some of the Descendants of Johan Wiegandt FAUBEL (FOWBLE)" complied by John H. Pearce, Jr., Nov. 1993. He had taken the information from Ms. Anna book with additions and minor corrections and had computerized it. You can write to him at John H.
