It is not near the library, which is at 50 East Main Street. It is a private cemetery and the president and trustees of the cemetery will not at this time, give permission for the Carroll County Genealogical Society to go in any copy the tombstones. But, George Billingslea, the president/trustee, of the cemetery, is working on publishing books on the history of the cemtery and publishing the burial lot books ledgers. He is hoping to have the first book done, that goes up to the 1930 records, done by this summer June/July 2002. George will not answer questions by phone, but he will by mail. It might be about a 3 to 4 week wait but he will answer you query with the location and a small map of the location area. Be sure to give George as much info on the person/persons you are looking for date of birth and year he/she had died etc. You should enclosed a self stamped/address envelope, I would send two stamps.
