Obituary--Leroy M. Arter--Leroy M. Arter, 59, Littlestown RD 1, died at the Hanover General Hospital Saturday at 2:15 p.m. A son of Edgar and Carrie Leppo, Littlestown RD 2, he is also survived by his wife, Marie Bowers Arter; one son, John L. Arter Sr., Littlestown; one step-son, Harry E. Brown of Oklahoma; four grandchildren; four brothers, Lester Arter, Flint, Mich., Kenneth Arter, Washington, D.C., Clair Arter, Hanover RD 1, and Robert Arter, Littlestown RD 2; two sisters, Mrs. Daniel Hinton, Hattiesburg, Miss., and Mrs. Melvin Cushong, Gettysburg. A veteran of World War II, he was a member of the Littlestown VFW. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Littles' Funeral Home, Littlestown, with Rev. Samuel A. Garrett of the Bethel Assembly of God, Littlestown, officiating. Burial will be in the Piney Creek Brethren Cemetery near Taneytown. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight.
