D. 53, Carroll Co., MD: DOUGHERTY, Hanna, 54, wid., she & parents all b. Ireland. Children all b. MD, but father b. Ireland: Andrew, 23; Edward, 21; Hannah, 14; Sarah, 14; Mary J., 12. Others in household: Samuel ROSE, 9, MD MD MD; & John WILKINS, Black, 60, laborer. Did you notice that Samuel ROSE & his parents were all born in Maryland, while Hanna, her deceased husband, and her parents were all born in Ireland? That makes a family connection less likely. There was another Samuel ROSE, aged 9, b. MD, of Ward 16, Precinct 6, Baltimore, in 1880, s/o Julius & Mary from Prussia. How did you prove which Samuel was the one who went to Pennsylvania?
