Lydia Ann Gorsage born Dec. 30, 1858, dau of George Gorsage born June 8, 1822. I have seen their name spelled Gossage. Don't know where George was born but he died in Schuyler Co. Illinois. I think I have some info on this family if it matches anywhere" reply: I am sure that's the same surname as Gossage/Gorsuch. Spelling meant so little back then & surnames were butchered - sometimes with 2 different spellings in the same document. Usually, one spelling stuck by the 1850s or so. Try looking in the MD area of Baltimore, Carroll, Dorchester, Harford, Anne Arundle, Talbot & Queen Anne's counties. Most were in Baltimore co. (part of which is now Carroll - as we all know). Good luck to you. -Donna
