George Brown[e] did die roughly 1767,and in the area of Pipe Creek [Hundred] [Westminstewr,Md] which then was entirely in Frederick Co,Md,and which creek,in part, would divide Carroll Co,Md from Frederick Co,when Carroll Co,Md was set up 1800+. Don't know the location of Cambria Co,PA ,BUT 1767 is early for settlement in western Pa. "Legal" settlement started in sw Pa in April,1769,and in 1772, sons and grandchildren of George and Mary Stevenson Brown formed a colony on Harmon's and Cross Creks, very, very western Pa-those creeks drain across the WV panhandle around Weirton,WV, and empty into the Ohio River.
