My brick wall are the definitive parents of George Reed (1782-1857) married to Mary Hardy (1783-1856); children include John Reed (1807-1887), Jacob Reed or Reid (1815-1888), Rachel Reed (1819-1893), and three other unnamed Reed daughters born between 1804 and 1810 (Census indicates only age and sex). Surnames married to this branch of the Reed – Reid clan include: HARDY, FOGLE, ALBAUGH, MILLER, SHOEMAKER, DERR, CRABBS / KREBS, YINGLING, NEWCOMER, HILDEBRIDLE, CLINGAN, ROWE, FINK, RIDINGER, CURRENS, HARNISH, SHANER, SLOANAKER, HILTERBRICK, DISE. I have infomration on the Reed family of the Manchester area. Ephraim Manassa Reed married Mary C. Lippy abotu 1901. I have information on his ancestors and children. I also have Jacob William Reed married Laura Ellen Lippy about 1902. Laura Ellen and Mary C. Lippy were sisters. Ephraim and Jacob were brothers. I am related through the Lippy family.
