Yesterday my husband and I visited St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in Carroll County to search for his Houck ancestors. What we found was a beautiful memorial to Corp. Barnett Houck (Barnet Hauck--fought in the Revolution and his son Capt. William Houck--War of 1812. It was erected in 1994 by "The Houck Clan". These two men are my husband's 4th and 5th great grandfathers. If there are any of "The Houck Clan" who belong to this list, I would like to correspond with you. The large cemetery in Manchester is now called Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery and Trinity United Church of Christ Cemetery. Together they were known as Zion's Church (1798) The cemetery is located just off of Route 30 and York St. It sits on Church St., and is located in Manchester, Carroll County, Maryland.
