Hey Wanda- Yea, we've emailed once before, cannot remember the outcome. My Annifidora or Anna Dora Gosnell was born in 1843. Her mother was Eva Anna Haines, she was born in/ @1806. Not certain if her husband or her father was James Gosnell, born abt 1785. If you have access to the 1850 census, he is listed as James Gasnel. Eve is listed as a Haines in same home. James has a daughter Martha and has sons Ambrose and Nathan. What does not make sense is that Tobias(1850) and Anna are listed like Haines but later both use the name Gosnell. Anna married John Elgen/Elgin in 1860 as a Gosnell. Hi all of you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. I'm a baltimore girl by birth and wouldn't you know that I never got to this til my kids were grown. I had a grandmother (Rachel Ann gosnell) b. ca 1826. I have never found her family. To the lady who can scan the info to me by attachment, I would appreciate it. I know there is probably a lot of typing involved. Scanned pages would be wonderful and easier than typing. My early research showed Gosnell's in that area but I was a newbie and didn't know much about research. Like to think I've learned something in the last 23 yrs. Rachel m Michael Doyle in the 1840's. I need her mom and dad and siblings if possible. By 1860 they were in Fulton Co. pa with 8 children. I found them in 1850 in Luzerne Co. Pa with 2 children. Legend says these two boys were born in Baltimore, but I've never found a record. The family was Catholic. Thanks for whatever help you can give.
