I have recently found part of my MENGES line buried at St. Mary's Luth./Ref. Cemetery in Silver Run. The individuals listed there include: Sarah (w/o Edward) - d. 10 Jun 1855, 36-11-19 [this was his first wife] Christina (w/o Jacob) - d. 6 Aug 1847, 70-0-14 [Edward's grandfather] Two young children, Infant daughter and Joseph. The name is spelled MONGES on the tombstones. I am hoping that someone may be able to share more on this family including information on the above Jacob and Edward. I know Jacob was born and married in York Co., PA. In the 1850 census, Edward and his wife Sarah were living next door to his father (Jacob's son), Daniel MENGES in Adams Co., PA. Also, are there any census records between 1840 and 1870 referring to these Menges? Any help would be appreciated. Don Lerew [email protected]

At this point, I would like to communicate with anyone researching the surname BEAMER and any variations. I am becoming less and less sure of what I have. My gggrandfather was Samuel BEAMER born 1812 in MD, he married Maria Shank of Washington Co. in 1847 in Waynesboro, PA.
