I'm looking for a Charles (mid name poss. Edward or poss. begins with C) Crawford. He married a Mary Jane Porter supposedly on November 18, 1884. I'm trying to locate his ancestry, but any specific info on him or Mary Jane would be very cery helpful. They had two children, Clarence Augustus (b. Mar 30, 1885) and Frederick Edward (b. Mar 1889). Mary Jane was remarried to a Joshua Crone by the 1900 census and had a child by him who was 4 yrs old at the time of the census., meaning she was remarried by 1896 or so. I'm not sure whether Charles died or was divorced from Mary Jane. Any help is tremendously appreciated!!!! Thanks, Paul Rickert [email protected]

The year of birth is different, but he could be from the same family. I'm sorry, but I have no other information on him. I have not done the actual 'hands on" research on this family as yet. Therefore, the birth year could be wrong in the information I have. This was obtained from another person and I have not had the time to dig into it yet. I wish that I could have helped you further on this. At least, it gives you some names to research. Don't forget to research the Church of the Brethren in the Carroll Co. MD area. This could be an important key to finding your Witter family. There were many WITTERS in the Brethren Church and these families migrated to VA, OH & IN. I do not know anything about the WAREHIME surname. Linda

    2. Kirk Yingling
    3. I have been stuck on a Carroll County connection for about 10 years now & I am hoping someone out there can help me move forward, backward or sideways in my search. I have a William Douglas Yingling born in 1824 in (I believe in the Silver Run area) and dying before 1913. He married Mary Ann Rebecca Trump b April 1833 (I believe in Libertyville, Liberty Town or some such) and dying in March 1913. She is buried in Providence Cemetery. In 1861 they gave birth to Louis Grant Yingling in Westminster. Louis went on to marry Sarah Catherine 'Susie' Smith and father William Henry Douglas Yingling. Now my wall. I can not seem to find any records of parents, siblings, life events, etc for either William Douglas Yingling or Mary Ann Rebecca Trump. I have found a Wilhelm Juengling born in Silver Run in 1824 but have not been able to verify if he was the one who changed the spelling of our name. The information I have came mostly from their children's records. I have also not found Providence Cemetery. This line shows up in Claude Rahn's book only to say that he does not know where they came from. Any help, guidance or suggestions are welcome. Thanks Kirk Yingling

    1. [MDCARROLL] Thanks for all your help
    2. Hi, I just want to thank everyone on this great list for all their help. Because of all of your great help I now have two more generations linked to my family. The size of my family tree has doubled and it has been traced back to somewhere in Germany. So now I'm concentrating on finding about the 43 people on my Who Are These People List. I'm also hoping to find some living distant cousins. Now I'm searching for any descendants of James S. and Cora May Waltz. James S Waltz was born in December 1862 and they were married on June 18, 1887 in Carroll County. 1. [MDCARROLL] Re: Anne CORNELL
    2. Hello! Do you have anything more on Anne CORNELL? I'm looking for the parents and/or siblings of Richard CORNELL, b. in MD, (probably at least as early as 1775). He appears in the 1820 Census for Providence Twp., Bedford Co., PA, where he apparently married Sarah BROWN. The Census lists Richard as head of household, male over 45, one male under 10, 2 females under 10 (could Anne have been one of them?), and one female 26-44. I believe Richard and Sarah were the parents of Alexander A. CORNELL, b. 1817 in PA, d. 1908 in New Windsor, m. Margaret HAHN. also b. 1817 in PA, d. 1897 in Carroll Co. Alexander and Margaret had a farm at New Windsor, Carroll Co., as early as the 1850's. Both are buried at Pipe Creek Cemetery.
