    1. Re: [MDCAROLI] Joseph WILLIS & Family
    2. Parker & Trisha Todd
    3. Hi Helen, It's me again, All of the Joseph Willis' below dealing with "Littleton's Friendship" and "Hab Nab at a Venture" are Joseph Willis, son of Robert & Sarah (Rumbold) Willis, my wife's ancestor. Joseph's will is the one dated 4 July 1860 and his mother Sarah's is dated 29 Sep. 1812. I don't know Valerie but she may be related, one never knows! The other Joseph Willis that was mentioned as being the son of Thomas & Sina, that branch of the Willis family lived closer to Federalsburg than did my line (John d. 1764 lived where the town of Preston is now located), The Thomas & Sina (or sometimes Sinai in the Nicholite records) Willis had the following children whose births are recorded in their records; Children of Thomas Willis & Sina (or Sinai) Milby Willis born 7th day 6th month 1768 Anne Willis born 5th day 12th month 1770 William Willis born 20th day 9th month 1771 Jesse Willis born 15th day 2nd month 1773 Joshua Willis born 15th day 12th month 1774 Thomas Willis born 28th day 10th month 1776 Milley Willis born 3rd day 2nd month 1784 The majority of this family (if not all but Thomas, the father) moved to the Carolinas. Parker P.S. Euphama the wife of Matthew Parris was an Andrew by birth. She was the daughter of James Andrew (d. 1819) and his second wife Mary Bell. See Dorchester Co., MD Dist. Acct. of Thomas Bell, brother of Mary (Bell) Andrew (Abstracts of Dorchester County, Maryland Distributions 1852-1885, by Debra Smith Moxey, pg. 18). This record give Euphama's name as "Luthana" wife of Mathew Paris but James Andrew's chancery record has no daughter named "Luthana" however he did have one named Euphama. ----- Original Message ----- From: <HMWEBBER@aol.com> To: <MDCAROLI-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, May 11, 2002 9:11 AM Subject: Re: [MDCAROLI] Joseph WILLIS & Family > Good morning Parker, > > Thank you for your response & info! :) > > I'm trying to help a woman, my the name of Valerie McLAUGHLIN, > she is looking for info on her PARRIS & WILLIS Lines from Caroline > Co., Dorchester Co., MD & Kent Co., DE.
