Am looking for Murphy and Townsend ancestors from Talbot, Caroline and Dorchester Counties of Maryland --- descendants are our grandparents Richard Wallace Murphy b 3/24/1913, d 9/11/1978 and Pearle Elizabeth Townsend, b 6/13/1909, d 4/17/1979. On the Murphy side, the first generation that I have is James C Murphy, m Sarah Ann Reese 11/14/1848 in Talbot Co. They had two children-- James Robinson and Mary Catherine. James Robinson (our gggrandfather) married Lucetta Martin Wright in 1880 and I have found good information on them from the Todd history from Caroline County. Their son, J. Raymond Murphy was our ggrandfather. He married Cora Emma Moore from Dorchester Co. Cora was the daughter of John Henry Shehee and Priscilla Travers. I think they moved to and lived in Caroline Co. I am told if I go back far enough there are some Indian connections.... On the Townsend side, I have very little. Ggrandparents were Willard Thomas Townsend b 3/4/1866, d1/6/1954 and Ida Frances Starkey b 1/29/1872 d 12/7/1941. Any help would be appreciated. Jean in Maryland
