Granted it takes a little learning to figure it out but the images do blow up to a readable size. Don't lose patients. I will take alook at it in a few minutes, after I finish some correspondence and see if I can figure out what's going on for you guys and maybe come up with a quick lesson sheet. Give me about 1/2 hr or so. ----- Original Message ----- From: <HOOKSETS@aol.com> To: <MDCAROLI-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 18, 2002 7:27 PM Subject: Re: [MDCAROLI] CAROLINE CO. In order to access the Denton Journal images 1. go to http://www.newspaperarchive.com 2. click on "members" at the top right 3. select either to be a free member or pay a subscription for the "other stuff". I chose free. 4. There is a downloadable software called "deja vu". which will take a few minutes to install. You can't get around this one, so be patient. 5. Follow the next insrtuctions and options 6. select the advanced function next to the search window, here you will be able to enter specific or general dates, specific newspaper, individual, word or phrase, search results #'s. 7. hit submit at the bottom left of the page and wait for the new page to open with any and all hits you requested. 8. click individually on whichever hit/image you want to view LOL and then get a time out error message ...OK, OK, I've sent off for information on this issue and am waitng for a reponse from them ...OK, egg on my face"))
