I am interested in information about the HARMON and TICHNOR families who lived in the Southern part of Caroline County in the 1820's. My family line comes from John Harmon who married Elizabeth Tichnor in 1824. They had a child, John Wesley Harmon, born in August, 1829. John Harmon was killed by a stallion in the Snow Hill area. Elizabeth Tichnor Harmon and her children moved to Ohio with her father. Caroline County records show also show that James Harmon married Mary Tichnor in Jan. 1822. They also seem to have child named John Wesley Harmon, born in 1825. They continued to live in Caroline County and James remarried after I presume Nancy died. He had several children. Several immediate questions come up: Was James a brother to John? Was Mary a sister to Elizabeth? Who was the father of John Harmon? What was the first name of the father of Elizabeth Tichnor?
