Cee Cee, I have not Tull or Maddux information, but I have some Gouty's who were from Caroline Co MD at about the same time as yours who moved to Pickaway Co, OH after 1810 and before 1818 and married there. I wrote the county and got some marriage records quite a few years ago. I haven't looked on line to see what is available. Then the family seems to have mostly moved on to Vermillion Co, OH. I am hoping someone with this connection would have more detail information on Zorababel and Esther Tull Maddux and thier children, especially verification of John H. The Book, "MADDOX; A SOUTHERN MARYLAND FAMILY by Hurley does Not mention anything about Esther Tull or her and Zorababel's children, nor does it mention anything about Coston or Benton names. I haven't been able to locate the other books mentioned... My library is very limited... If any of you have information on the Esther Tull and/or Zorababel Maddux please email me, I just assumed if any of you are related to Esther Tull in any way, you would have information on her and her husband and children... Do any of you know where Esther Tull and her husband Zorababel Maddux are buried? I have been told they are buried in Pickaway Ohio but I would like to find out the name of the Cemetery... I have been told Zorababel died around 1829 in Pickaway Oh and Esther died around 1843 in Pickaway Ohio... Do any of you have or know if there was a will filed with the probate courts? If so could you share that information with me. I would also be interested in any information on the Ritchey(ie) name. My ggrandfather was John H. Maddux, I am pretty sure he is the son of Zorababel & Esther [Tull] Maddxx from Maryland and brother to James T., Lazarus and Severn Maddux(ox). I beleive John H. Maddux married Elizabeth Burk and sometime during or after the 1812 war John H. and family moved to the vicinity of Pickaway Co. Ohio (resources from my own family's bible and memoirs records)... I sincerely hope for any information/leads/advice & etc. anyone can supply. Thank you all very much... I have the following Caroline County Carter Line: ______ B. CARTER, b. PA, married MARY JO BARCUS, b. MD. They had at least three children who apparently lived in Denton, Caroline Co. when they were teens. They are shown living on farms as shown in the 1860 Denton, Caroline Co., MD, census. ALFRED CARTER, age 19, b. MD, lived with THOMAS WYATT's family, and is shown attending school that year. Alfred is listed as a farm hand. They are family 2299 on the census taker's list. GEORGE, age 16, b. MD, and ELIZABETH, age 13, b. MD are shown living on the same census list with WILLIAM H. HUBBARD's family. They are family 2301 on the census taker's list. Both children are shown attending school and George is listed as a farm hand. Since Elizabeth is so young and when living with another family, the possibility that their parents were both dead, ill, or impoverished by 1860 is a possibility. Good morning list, I received this from another mailing list & thought I should pass it on to others -- especially the novice genealogist. Please beware of scams! :) Happy hunting, Helen List I wanted everyone to know about my experiences with this group and their ..."Your Extended FREE 5 Day Genealogy Trial Offer." After numerous "e-mailings" a month or so, I took them up on a 5 day free trial which required sign-up and 1 year payment. It was the only way to see what was there and although not my normal way of engaging with genealogical suppliers, I figured I could try, keep it if I liked it, or cancel if I didn't. It took me ten [10] minutes to find out there is nothing of import there on this service for me and a waste of my money. Anything they offered back on my search requests were sadly lacking compared to what I could get with a generic search engine. I am awaiting my refund and cancellation after a month of numerous unanswered e-mail. They have finally acknowledged my efforts with the statement "We have put your account under review... refunds are usually issued every 2nd or 3rd of the month. When a refund is issued it will be posted back to your paypal account." So, we shall see. By the way, they continue to 'spam' with the offer to me...even tho I chose their trial, requested cancellation and refund. I've received 3 more e-mail just this week, addressed as such... From: "Extended Offer" <GenealogyServices@yahoo.com> From: "Extended Offer" <GenealogyServices@yahoo.com> From: "Extended Genealogy" <GenealogyService@yahoo.com> From: Genealogy Unlimited <genealogyservices@yahoo.com> From: "Genealogy Extended" <GenealogyService@yahoo.com> Some of these addresses bounce and they are different. I have wondered if any of you have experienced this "outfit" and wanted caution you all to be careful, if you haven't. Regards Lee Widner lwidner@earthlink.net
Hi list, I'm trying to reach a Louis SUDLER who was doing research on the HOLLIDAY Family or any one else interested in the HOLLIDAYs. I have been doing research on my VOSS - WEBBER line for many years & I have always been very intrigued with the given name of Holliday-Holiday in our family. I have the following: Holliday VOSS, b. 1818, Kent Co., DE d. 1882, Caroline Co., MD m. Nancy (Ann) Elizabeth BERRY Holliday's sister, Martha VOSS, married a William WEBBER in 1840, Kent Co., DE & they had a son: Holliday WEBBER b. 1857/1858, Webber Farm, Burrsville, Caroline Co., MD d. 1876, Webber Farm, Burrsville, Caroline Co., MD NOTE: I believe the newspaper made a mistake in naming Wm as the son of Wm WEBBER in the death notice on this date. Holiday, son of Wm WEBBER is the correct age 19 yrs. I mo. Furthermore, there isn't any info on Holiday after this date & his older brother Wm b. 1842 is still alive until 1922. Holliday & Martha VOSS parent's were James VOSS-VAULX & Martha (surname unknown). I believe Martha's maiden name to be HOLLIDAY. Would anyone have info on this family & how they may fit into the Holliday Family. I have been collecting all the data I can on the HOLLIDAY Family in MD (ES) & DE. Please let me know if there is anything I might be able to help you with! :) Happy hunting, Helen (DCGS)

She was the sister of Mary Elizabeth Bloxton who was born in 1880 in Ridgely, MD. I think that Mary's mother (Julia Whitby Bloxton) remarried after having Mary, into the Starkey family. (Thus Ola's maiden name could have been Starkey or Bloxton) If you have any information I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks A Lot!
