Looking for any connection to the WILLIAM CHAPMAN, SR. family of Waynesboro, Augusta Co., VA. Information below. I suspect that William is a son of NATHAN CHAPMAN, SR. of Baltimore Co., MD. It is known that Nathan had a son William, who was in Virginia at the time of Nathan's death. Nathan also had a daughter, Elizabeth CHAPMAN DETTOR, who was in Albemarle Co., VA at the time of his death. Elizabeth is my 4th great grandmother.... coincidentally....the below William CHAPMAN is my 4th great grandfather!.....it seems highly "coincidental" that this William, who was married in Albemarle County and lived there for some years, later moving across the county line into Augusta Co., VA....is not the same......looking for clues!
