He arrived in 1843 in New York. His first marriage was to Imogene MILLS. I am not sure if there were children out of that marriage. His second marriage was to Emily Craig SEWELL(1835-1914)and he had 8 children from her. His son Robert Welch(1861-ca1942)married Ida THOMAS(ca1860-1933). One daugter, Emelie Ursula(1866-?)married a Harry Melvin BULL Sr. Another daughter, Anne Louise(1868-aft 1916)married a Arthur D. HENDRICKS. Thanks for any information.
