I have frequently come across references to St. Paul's Protestant Episcopal Church records in my family research. I've never seen the actual records, just references to them. Does anyone know how to look at the actual records (I live in California), or if there is a published collection of these records? Also interested in the history of St. Paul's, families who had pews there in the 1600's and 1700's, etc. Does the church still exist? I did find mention of a very bad pastor there during the eighteenth century, but it didn't mention any details - I'd like to know more about that. It had something to do with church appointments, and how the congregation was not very pleased with the pastor appointed to them.
