One branch stayed in Baltimore (perhaps you have more info on where that branch stands today?), but others came to New Orleans, where I am. I have not had to deal with the Ducatels in Haiti because I already know their origins in France. However, I have done a lot of research in the St. Domingo records, and I would suggest that you search them through the LDS library. There are quite a number of French microfilms of these French Haitian settlers. It would help to know which city in Haiti (St. Domingo) your ancestors came from, though. If you are not familiar with the LDS films, get back to me.
