In the 1783 tax list of Harford County MD Barnard Preston appears as the owner of the tract "Preston's Conquest". This tract does not appear in Robert Barnes, "Baltimore County, Maryland, Deed Abstracts 1659-1750, and it's possible that Barnard Preston patented the tract himself after 1750.
