His father was Augustus, mother Mary? He was born in York, PA on Dec 18, 1858. He married Mary Souders (Sanders)who was ten years older than he. Mary died in 1934. They had a farm in Jacobus, York, PA but lived on Salem Ave in York when Mary died. John had a brother William Henry also born around 1958. William married Phebe Samples in York on Oct 10, 1900. They also had a sister Mary born about 1863 in PA. I have not found any thing further on her. I have two naturalization records from York for August Stiegler, both from Saxony. Census records show that Williams father was born in Saxony while August lists his birthplace as Germany. Any Connection yet?
