My great-grandparents were Arnie Lee and Ella Grace McDaniel Rosier. Arnie Lee was born in 1889 in Preston County, WV, a son of Charles Lee and Annie Belle Spring Rosier. Charles Lee Rosier was a son of George Washington and Mahala Goff Rosier. George Washington was a son of Andrew and Margaret Smith Rosier. Andrew was a son of Lahabin and Jarussie Rosier, who migrated from the Baltimore area to WV circa 1800. They came from France. I have quite a bit of information on my Rosiers in WV, but nothing in MD. The Rosiers are a small family, and still reside in the Taylor, Preston, Barbour County area. My Rosier family lies in a graveyard high on a mountaintop at Sinclair on the Preston/Barbour Co. border. We have a "gathering on the ground" every August on the third Sunday at the cemetery.
