Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Md/BaltimoreCity/2820 Surname: Valiant, Riley, Redman, Jordon ------------------------- Delbert, Rev. John Fletcher Valiant (1782-1869) and Catherine Riley apparently had 5 children. Daughter Mary Ann married James Redman in Baltimore City; they lived in Talbot Co. MD. Their grandson, Capt. John Clarence Redman was the senior partner of Redman & Vane Shipyard. He lived on Aliceanna St., Baltimore City. Rev. John F. Valiant and Catherine Riley had a son, John Fletcher Valiant, Jr., (1822-1895); he married Sarah Jane Walker (1826-1921). I believe they are buried at Green Mount Cem., Balto. City. John, Jr., & Sarah Jane had 4 children: Joseph Gordon Valiant (1847-1937); Ellen T. Valiant (1848-1852), John Valiant (1851-1920?); and William Henry Valiant (1852?-1909?). John Valiant, son of John Fletcher Valiant, Jr., and Sarah Jane Walker, married circa 1878 Mary Elizabeth Jordon (1855-1929). Eliza Valiant (1825-1900?), daughter of Rev. John F. Valiant & Catherine Riley, married 1st Charles Denny in 1848 & married 2nd John Jordon. Daughter by second marriage was Annie Jordon who married John Most. Most of this info was put together by Mary Valliant Warner Thomas of Neavitt, MD. "This Was Chesapeake Bay" by Rob't Burgess mentions Louis P. Booz, "Perth Amboy engineer and steamboat enthusiast..." (96). Booz Bros. apparently resumed business after the war brought an end to "shipyard row"; they set up at "the old Woodall shipyard adjoining the American Sugar Refinery, Key Highway" (53).
