James Hargest had a large farm on the border of Baltimore City and County. They had six children who lived to adulthood. Mary Hargest Jones (b. 1808), Elizabeth Hargest Ogier (1811-1832), Hannah Ann Hargest Walker, Jane Hargest Walker, William Evans Hargest (1820-1879), and Thomas Hargest (1824-1905).
