Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Md/BaltimoreCity/13342 Surname: DAFFIN ------------------------- I have found the surname SHERWOOD in several DAFFIN lines that I am researching and wish to find more about these SHERWOODS. In particular an "HON. HUGH SHERWOOD" was mentioned as the father of a SARAH DAFFIN who was the widow of BENJAMIN DAFFIN. She died about 1899 or maybe a few years earlier. The name HUGH SHERWOOD is used a few times in a SHERWOOD family on the Eastern Shore that was connected to a DAFFIN family there. Also would like to know who or what the "SHERWOOD BROS." were in Baltimore in the mid 1800s. A FRANCIS DAWES DAFFIN was a printer and in his obit it mentions he got his start with the SHERWOOD BROS> of Baltimore. This would have probably been about 1855-1860, as he enlisted in the Confederate Army at the start of the War and served the entire length of the war, returning to his career as a printer afterwards. We do not know how either Benjamin (who also enlisted with Francis) are related or how either of these two are related to the Eastern Shore Daffin family. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated. Richard Largaespada Link: The Daffin Family Tree URL: <http://daffin.org>
