They were reinterred. But where. It turned out it was very easy. Just get records from that cemetery where the persons children were buried, and you will most likely find the guy who died in 1889 was probably reinterred in the childs lot. Long before that child used it. That is main reason people bought burial plots long before they died in the years 1900, 1910, etc. The main cemeteries downtown were being all sold off because they were so valuable as real estate. St Alphonsus gave people about 30-50 years to remove their loved ones. They were really sensitive to things in those days. God bless you. Hope you can find them. And go write to the cemetery a second time if necessary, stressing you are looking for a copy of the drawing of the plot. The info you want may just be written in the margin of the hand drawn plot layout. Reinterment may have just been a quick thing done during a day off, or on a Sunday. Divide Balto into 4 Quadrants. Then find the cemetery most likely to be the one..... The one closest to the most controlling, domineering older sybling. Every good Catholic family had & has one of them!!! Hee Heee Heee... Hee Heee Heee......... Hee Heee Heee... Hee Heee Heee.. tsk tsk, and I call myself a Catholic Christian. Now I have to go to tell the priest. I expect Sister Assumpta to come by my chair here at any minute and swat my head for saying that. Love, Paul
