I'm sorry but the only Batemans I know about were William Bateman who married Sarah Davis in Washington Co.,MD in 1825 and their two children, James (1827) and Sarah(1828-9). At the time of his death in 1830, William was living in Harpers Ferry, VA (now WV). At the time of Mary Anne Davis's death in 1872, she was living with her grandson, James Bateman in Baltimore. I guess there could be some connection there
