Our James Jenness was James Henry Jenness born about 1817 in Maryland. Wayne, IN; m Jenny Alderman -John W. Jenness b 27 apr 1847 Aberdeen, MD d 12 Jan 1927 Barnsdale, OK m Mary Morena Starr -Mary Jane Jenness b 6 Aug 1850 Baltimore, MD d 13 May 1919 Columbus, KS -Sarah Margaret Jenness b 5 Mar 1853 -Vena Jenness b 2 Jul 1856 Baltimore, MD d abt 1875 Columbus, KS -Fanny Jenness b 1 Nov 1861 Baltimore, MD d 1861 In the 1880 Census, James Henry Jenness' parents are recorded as having been born in Connecticut. In another large genealogical collection of this family in Family Tree Maker, I found the line, but it was not connected to all the other Jenness families and James Henry Jenness was recorded as having been born in England. His migration CT>MD>IN>IA>KS roughly parallels that of some other Jennes families who migrated from NH to PA to IN to KS. Have you heard of our family before?
