This shop was supposedly destroyed in the Great Fire of Baltimore (which also destroyed many useful records). After the fire, he and his family were said to have moved westward. Can anyone pin down the date of the Great Baltimore Fire? Or, can anyone provide data on a Pettis family (maybe William, maybe Samuel) who lived in Baltimore about 1800. Thank you.
