I especially want to thank you for transcribing the 1864 directory. Your kind services are invaluable to us researchers who do not live in Balto. and who live so far away. Many, many thanks. I have Nicholas Sauer's birth cert and unfortunately, it does not give his parents names. My father was the informant on the cert. and it states: Nicholas' brithplace as Balto, MD, name of Nicholas' father, unknown, father's place of birth, unknown, Nicholas' mother Nellie Collins and place of birth looks like N.Y. although it is very hard to read. I don't believe the Nicholas Sauer in Ohio is any relation. I never heard my mom say anyone was in Ohio. I looked at the 1864 directory you helped transcribe and there are several Sauers but I cannot make a connection. I'll keep your kind offer in mind. Thanks so much for your help. Evelyn
