Hi! My AYRES line includes a Marion Kent AYRES (Philadelphia) who married Henry Homer BABCOCK, a descendant of the founder of a fairly large and diversified company (who inherited the leadership, naturally) that had manufactured such things as pumps, then vehicles such as carriages, broughams, and eventually, in the first decade of the 20th century, a motorcar (only produced 6 years - however, they manufactured automobile bodies for others for a longer period). I noted that in a copy of the Watertown, NY advertisement, in smaller print, it mentioned a branch of the company existed in Baltimore, MD. This would have been in the later 1800's and probably into the earlier 1900's. Is anyone on this list familiar with this? Would you have any knowledge of an address, or, perhaps in a City Directory, of some of the company officers, etc., in Maryland? Thanks for any assistance you can provide... Vince Summers
