    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Tice, Theis, Theiss, Theisz,/Kober, Christoff Classification: Lookup Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AFB.2ACI/3295.2.2.1.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Thanks for the quick response. I am looking for John Henry Theiss, his brother Phillip. I found them both in the 1890 Baltimore City Directory. Since no one else is listed with them, I am assuming neither one was married at that time. The address they were found at was 123 (4?) Eutaw. John was supposed to have immigrated here about 1888. Phillip may have come with them. Don't know who else. Other variations of Theiss, Theisz, Theis, Tice , given names of John & Phillip were found in the 1900 City Directory at various addresses. Don't have those at my fingertips at the moment. John's first son was Henry John Theiss born in 1893, my great grandfather Charles John Theiss was born in 1895. They had 2 daughters, Nellie Ann & Katherine (spelling?) Elizabeth. Don't know dates. Don't have birth certificates for any of them yet. I am assuming John was married to Amelia Elizabeth Kober about 1901 to 1903. Kober was Amelia's 1st. husband's name. I have always been tol! d her maiden name was Christoff, spelling?, but her death certificate says father Charlie Gustin(tia?) Info given by husband, John Henry Theiss. Eventually, Phillip had a "store" of some kind. General mercantile? That was a bit long winded, but if you have any input it would be greatly appreciated. Is there a fee for lookups? Please advise. Judy
