Hi, everyone! Checked out an 1848 National Intelligencer (Washington, DC) today through the fine interlibrary loan system.  I found my great great aunt's marriage listed as "on the 20th instant, by the Rev. Littleton F. Morgan, Mr. William Butler, formerly of Baltimore, to Miss Ann Elizabeth Mattingly, of this city."  That would be April 20, 1848.
