Posted on: BaltimoreCity County Md. Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Md/BaltimoreCity/3098 Surname: Smalley ------------------------- Amos P. Smalley and marriages are mentioned in Temple Records and therefore IGI. The reference is to the First English Reformed Church, Baltimore, Baltimore, MD. The marriages were 1993 and 1889. I thought the marrieages occured in Arkansas, so was surprised at the MD reference. I've been unable to locate the records of that church in the timeframe of the marriages. I'd like to know where the records are now kept and if they have been filmed or copied.

Does anyone know about this family, the church records, or the Fire Department and what I might find out there? Sincerely, Tracie Tudor Gross

It is hard to determine who is who, but maybe we have some connection. My gr. gr. grandfather was William Parks (i think his middle initial was H). He was born around 1843 and married a woman we believe was named Anna Cecelia Cost. Their children were: William, Archibald, Mary, Rebecca (my gr. grandmother), and Ann Cecelia. I know nothing about the children of William or Archibald. Perhaps the William Parks you mention is the son of one of these men?

Looking for any connection to the WILLIAM CHAPMAN, SR. family of Waynesboro, Augusta Co., VA. Information below. I suspect that William is a son of NATHAN CHAPMAN, SR. of Baltimore Co., MD. It is known that Nathan had a son William, who was in Virginia at the time of Nathan's death. Nathan also had a daughter, Elizabeth CHAPMAN DETTOR, who was in Albemarle Co., VA at the time of his death. Elizabeth is my 4th great grandmother.... coincidentally....the below William CHAPMAN is my 4th great grandfather!.....it seems highly "coincidental" that this William, who was married in Albemarle County and lived there for some years, later moving across the county line into Augusta Co., VA....is not the same......looking for clues!
