Tolson (1 Oct 1883), Agnes N. Scott (3 Mar 1884) and Mary C. Newell (10 Sep 1884). Does anyone know if there was a epidemic of some kind during that time. Does anyone have access to obituaries? I have Susannah's Newell on the 25th, instant, Susanna wife of M. A. Newell, the funeral will be in her late residence Carroliton Lafayette Ave. at 4:oo p.m. Thursday. I have a John Edward Redmond, sometimes spelled Redman, who was born in Baltimore in 18 Dec 1837. His father died around 1850 and in 1856 he went to Indiana to live with his Uncle, whom I believe was named Riley. John was a capenter and later owned his own construction company. John Edward Redmond/Redman was the oldest of four children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I think one of the girls was named Margaret, who also moved to IN to be with her Riley relatives. The pension records indicate he was married twice and his first wife died in Baltimore. I have checked the census index for 1850 and found a Christian WERTH living in Baltimore County, 2nd Ward Baltimore, page number 207. If someone has access to the actual census records I would greatly appreciate a lookup and details on this family. Christian WERT later relocated to Lebanon County, PA. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1862 in PA but I have not been able to find him in PA prior to 1862. Therefore, he may also be in the Baltimore area in 1860. JOHN had 8 children, 4 males of which not much is known (JOHN b. 13 Jan 1777/78, JOSEPH b. 25 May 1779, SAMUEL b. 20 Aug 1782, and THOMAS b. 15 Jul 1788); one of whom may be the father of JOEL.
