They are both buried at Moreland Memorial Cem. in Balto. >From family oral history, George had a brother Frederick. I have found members of this family buried at Mt. Carmel Cem. in Balto. and cannot make the connection with others at the present time. >From oral history, George had several brothers that died and I found a Herman and Henry that at 24 yrs. and 27 yrs. in 1891 and 1892 from Phthsis (could have been TB) Does anyone have any connection to this family? My great grandfather was William Harry or Henry Adams, born approx 1853, possibily in Philia. PA and his father was S. Adams, not sure whether it was for Sherman or could be Samuel. I think William had a sister named Anna. My grandfather, William's son was named Harry Sherman Adams, and he use to mention an Aunt Anna. I know my grandfather was born in Philia. and married there. He married Ida Louise McCormick. They lived in Washington DC. William H. Adams married Sarah McFarland. He was living in Baltimore, MD when he died in 1918. Could this be the same family.

In particular an "HON. HUGH SHERWOOD" was mentioned as the father of a SARAH DAFFIN who was the widow of BENJAMIN DAFFIN. She died about 1899 or maybe a few years earlier. The name HUGH SHERWOOD is used a few times in a SHERWOOD family on the Eastern Shore that was connected to a DAFFIN family there. Also would like to know who or what the "SHERWOOD BROS." were in Baltimore in the mid 1800s. A FRANCIS DAWES DAFFIN was a printer and in his obit it mentions he got his start with the SHERWOOD BROS> of Baltimore. This would have probably been about 1855-1860, as he enlisted in the Confederate Army at the start of the War and served the entire length of the war, returning to his career as a printer afterwards. We do not know how either Benjamin (who also enlisted with Francis) are related or how either of these two are related to the Eastern Shore Daffin family.
