I just came across some information about a Hall family that settled in an area called Duck Bridge (not far from Baltimore) probaly around 1700-1720. James Hargest's daughter Janes Hargest married a Samuel Walker and had two children, Virginia Hughlett Walker and John Hargest Walker. John Hargest Walker was born on Oct 22, 1842 in Baltimore. I have much information on the descendants of James Hargest but have been unable to identify the correct John Walker. James Hargest had a large farm on the border of Baltimore City and County. They had six children who lived to adulthood. Mary Hargest Jones (b. 1808), Elizabeth Hargest Ogier (1811-1832), Hannah Ann Hargest Walker, Jane Hargest Walker, William Evans Hargest (1820-1879), and Thomas Hargest (1824-1905). Almost all had roots to some degree in St. Mary's County, Maryland. The dates presented may be a tad of as I am having trouble finding them in State and Baltimore City records. He was a theatre company mgr in the 1880s, & married a CHARLOTTE BEHRENS (family from Brooklyn & Philadelphia) on December 17, 1884 in St. Joseph, MO. Miss Behrens was the company's leading lady & they were on the road at the time. I'm a professionally published writer in the Washington, DC area, & I'm writing a book on Charlotte Behrens & the people who were important in her life.
