Still looking for date of death of Mary Ann Blick wife of William B. Blick . Found out they had a daughter Louisa E. Blick she was married 8-19-1848 In Washington, D.C. to Philip McMahon, they both were from Baltimore. Son William Blick,Jr.was married 5-12-1851 to Elizabeth Ann Curtian. Elizabeth was the daughter of William Curtian. William B. Blick was the owner of a lottery Co. and he lived at 118 Orleans. He is last listed on city dir. for the yr. 1858. In 1860 he has moved to Covington,Ky. where he is listed in the household of oldest son Robert F. Blick.1858 city dir. also listed a Cato Blick living at 48 Rock occupation strawcutter. They had a child before my father, Ronald Steven Hauf (March 23, 1951). My grandfather was in WWII and after the war he was not able to care for his first son (of which I do not know his name). My grandmother Gloria Ball left her son behind and moved to Louisiana and remarried. It has been told to my father & mother that this son was left with my grandfather's sister (possibly Anna Hauf-Gorman). The son was a Vietnam Veteran but he was killed in an auto accident between 1965 and the early 1970's (around the time my father was in Vietnam). He had a child (son?) which is my father's only full-blooded nephew/niece. My grandfather Thomas L. Hauf is the son of Harry Walter Hauf which fathered between 17 & 25 children. Any information you can provide me with would be a great deal of help. If you need any more information please contact me via email.

His father was Augustus, mother Mary? He was born in York, PA on Dec 18, 1858. He married Mary Souders (Sanders)who was ten years older than he. Mary died in 1934. They had a farm in Jacobus, York, PA but lived on Salem Ave in York when Mary died. John had a brother William Henry also born around 1958. William married Phebe Samples in York on Oct 10, 1900. They also had a sister Mary born about 1863 in PA. I have not found any thing further on her. I have two naturalization records from York for August Stiegler, both from Saxony. Census records show that Williams father was born in Saxony while August lists his birthplace as Germany. Any Connection yet?
