Hannah was also born in MD.circa 1815.Their children were:William,Benjamin,John,Thomas Carter(my line),George Washington,Mary,Wesley,Frederick,Cassandra & Esther. All of the children were born in various counties in OH. but mostly Monroe.Most of the family moved to Wapello Co.,IA. by the 1870 census;except for William,George & Thomas. His parents were;Samuel Field and Sarah V.Summers Field. I think that S.S.Field Sr. was born about1852-1862? He was married to Marie Wood Crook. I am sure that Marie Wood Crook and her sister;Charlotte Crook House were from Baltimore City,Md. S.S.Field Sr. and his wife had three sons;Samuel Summers Field II,Bryan Harris Field and Benjamin Wood Field,(now deceased).I think that Marie Wood Crook Field died at Keswick Home for Incurables in Baltimore City,Md.around 1935-1945? I also believe that she was buried in Greenmount cemetary in Baltimore City,Md.? Charlotte Crook House was married to Ulysses S.Grant House and lived in the Walbrook area of Baltimore City,Md. They had a daughter named;Charlotte,(now deceased). I think that Samuel Summers Field Sr.died in Baltimore City,Md. around 1918-1922? I would like to find an obituary for him if possible? He married Mary Hooper (1848-1920) and had at least two children: H. Evans Smith and Robert Tynes Smith, Jr. I also found that there is a Robert Tynes Smith, III, b. 1909 who has a Ph.D. from George Washington University in mathematics.
