    1. [MDBALT] L.D.S CD for 1880 Census
    2. The Fairfax Public Library has the set of CD sold by L.D.S. Library for 1880 census. All four of my husband's families: Boch/Bock/Buck, Kandler, Kelly & Desch showed no match. I know these families were living in Baltimore City or Co. MD for this census. My question is--have others had problems finding their families on these CD for 1880 census ? The librarian at the Fairfax Public Library, thought if they just used 1880 Soundex for some of their data base, then only households with children under 10 could be listed. Thank you for your help.

    1. [MDBALT] James Henry JENNESS & Hannah WILKINSON
    2. Our James Jenness was James Henry Jenness born about 1817 in Maryland. He married Hannah Jane Wilkinson, born about 1821 in MD, and had the following children: -Alice Jennes b 2 Aug 1840 Baltimore, MD d 20 Sep 1898 Lincoln, OK; m Wm. Edward Jackson -Samuel Jennes b 26 Feb 1842 Baltimore, MD d abt 1915 Chicago, Cook, IL; Hannah M. Shively 8 Mar 1864 -Charles Henry Jennes b 27 Jun 1844 Baltimore, MD d abt 1920 Ft. Wayne, IN; m Jenny Alderman -John W. Jenness b 27 apr 1847 Aberdeen, MD d 12 Jan 1927 Barnsdale, OK m Mary Morena Starr -Mary Jane Jenness b 6 Aug 1850 Baltimore, MD d 13 May 1919 Columbus, KS -Sarah Margaret Jenness b 5 Mar 1853 -Vena Jenness b 2 Jul 1856 Baltimore, MD d abt 1875 Columbus, KS -Fanny Jenness b 1 Nov 1861 Baltimore, MD d 1861 In the 1880 Census, James Henry Jenness' parents are recorded as having been born in Connecticut. In another large genealogical collection of this family in Family Tree Maker, I found the line, but it was not connected to all the other Jenness families and James Henry Jenness was recorded as having been born in England. His migration CT>MD>IN>IA>KS roughly parallels that of some other Jennes families who migrated from NH to PA to IN to KS. Have you heard of our family before? Do you think they connect with the New Hampshire family? I would appreciate any ideas you might have that might help our search. Kathie Donahue Spokane, WA

    1. [MDBALT] Robert Price and Elizabeth Miles
    2. Robert Price married Elizabeth Miles in Baltimore in 1739. Was Robert Price a descendent of Thomas Price and Elizabeth Johnson who were the ancestors of Mordecai Price who died and left a will in Washington County, TN in 1799? Robert Price was the father of James Price born in Baltimore in 1745. James Price may have been the same person who filed for a Revolutionary War pension in 1819 in Knox County, TN. James Price married Esther Noland in Washington County, TN in 1793 and died and left a will in Knox County, TN in 1838. I am looking for information connecting James Price to the Mordecai Price family. David Galloway

    2. Given a choice, I would prefer to go to the Maryland Historical Library. There is a small charge to go in but it's worth the price. The people are very helpful. It's not terribly far from the Pratt Library downtown. There is on street parking and a garage across the street. I can't remember the exact address. Pat << I am going to be in the Baltimore area on Friday and Saturday and would like to find a good library to get some research done. I have heard the name Enoch Pratt Free Library mentioned several times. Is that a good place to research? Would they have copies of published parish records? Abstracted Baltimore County deeds, wills, etc that have been published? I am looking for abstracted records before 1750 for Baltimore County. >>
