    1. [MDBALT] Re: Wiger-Baker
    2. Sorry I don't show a Ella. Our John Wiger had only two girls, and they each married a Maccubbin [1861/1862] There was one son named Henry F.Wiger born 1843. I know nothing about him. Were your Wigers` living in Baltimore around 1840?

    1. [MDBALT] Re: l790-l799 Baltimore Church
    2. For church info in Baltimore, you might try either FamilySearch.org (or, more directly, your nearest Family History Center); or, the Maryland State Archives site (where you can find a catalogue of materials from churches, some of which you can either purchase or rent through Inter-Library Loan). Good luck!

    1. [MDBALT] Families - Baltimore County
    2. R J & B L Gunther & Michelman
    3. I am hoping someone on the List will be able to help me locate a book containing families that resided in Baltimore County. Some years ago, while in the MD Law Library, I saw a book that contained families in Baltimore County and there was a GUNTHER family noted in the book. Not knowing it would eventually lead to a vital link in my research, I only made notes on the article. I would like to find this article again and have it printed for my research and genealogy files. These are some of the notes: Charles GUNTHER of the 12th District, a truck gardener, was born in Baltimore County, February 17, 1840. He was the son of Otto and Christinana Louisa GUNTHER. Otto and Christinana were the parents of 7 children. Charles married Margaret Radecke. As I recall there were photos of this family as well. Anyone that may have access to this book (which I regrettably do not have the name of), I would appreciate your help! Betty Lou Michelman Fort Myers Beach, FL

    1. [MDBALT] Firsy German Baptist Church
    2. Hi, I was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the records for the First German Baptist (on the corner of Hampstead [now Fairmont) and Caroline St. in Fells Point). It was disbanded around 1932. In my gggrandmothers (Mary Steier Rappold) obituary it lists her as being a member of this church. She died in 1878.I have also come across reference in the Scharff book (History of Baltimore Co. and city) that her husband John L. Rappold was the one that got the church going in Baltimore about 1855 and also helped with the 7th German Baptist. So far I have been unable to find who has the records Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Lynn Smith

    1. [MDBALT] Photographer in Baltimore
    2. I have a picture of an individual obtained in Germany that was taken in the U.S. The back of the picture has the the name Mueller Bros., Photographers, 180 S. Broadway. The name of the city is not totally visible. At first I thought it was made in St. Louis, but the city directories there for the period from 1870 to 1900 did not list such a name. Upon closer examination I believe the city name is Baltimore. However, I don't have access to the city directories for Baltimore. I would appreciate any comments or information on this query. Thank you.

    2. Hi, Patricia. I am related to Rowbothams in NW Missouri who lived first in St. Joseph from about 1890 until they moved to outside of Helena, MO (near St. Joe) around 1905. I was wondering if you have any information that ties your Rowbothams with mine. My GGrandfather was James M. Rowbotham b.19 Jan 1857 in Illinois. My Grandmother was his daughter Edna Rebecca Rowbotham Ferbert/Tisdale b. 01 Feb 1891 in Missouri. I haven't been able to go any further back than my GGrandfather James M. nor if he had any brothers or sisters. Any help you might have would be greatly appreciated.
