    3. Since you do not mention religion in your Anna Quigley query, I will assume from the area in which she lived, from her name, and the names of others for whom you are searching, that she may have been Catholic. The name is certainly Irish. Going on that premise, I would begin as a first step to search the Catholic Church records for St. John the Evangelist which would have been her parish. It was predominantly Irish. The church was in walking distance from Forrest St. I do not know where you live but the records, which are on microfilm, are held by the State Archives in Annapolis. They can be examined free of charge or can also be purchased or rented. The records cover the years between 1853 and 1966. The details for buying microfilm can be viewed at www.mdarchives.state.md.us Click on RECORDS & RESEARCH Scroll down to CATHOLIC CHURCH RECORDS and click You can then select Baltimore City and it will show you the list of churches in Baltimore. Click on any of these to bring up the available information. Good luck. Frank Kuhn [email protected]
