Hi, Just received an obit for Michael Deichelbohrer in 1866 and it states that he is buried from his late residence "Butcher Hill" or "Batcher Hill?" It is difficult to read. Is anyone on this fine list familiar with that area? Thanks, Elizabeth

In 1864, Samuel Brown was enlisted in the Baltimore Battery, so I'm not sure if any of these are my guy. The address I have for him in 1866 (via his obituary) is No. 4 Hoffman, so I checked for his wife's name, any other Brown's at this address, etc. I think I'll have to keep digging to see if I can link him to any of these addresses in 1864. Hi, My grandfather, John Francis Maguire, attended the U of Tennessee at Knoxville but had lived in Baltimore prior to moving there. His father, M. W. Maguire, had worked for the B & O RR in Baltimore and then moved to Knoxville with the RR there. You will probably need to contact the Circuit Court in the jurisdiction where you were married and/or divorced to get your marriage & divorce certificates. Death records are available with some restrictions from the Dept. of Vital Statistics for up to 10 years after date of death. After that I think they are open.
