I am trying to find out what ever happened to my great great grandfather's (Theophilus Morgan) step children. They would be the children of Thomas Hughes and Harriet Collins Hughes. Thomas and Harriet immigrated from the Somerset area of England in 1869 - they had one child with them - William born 1869. By the 1880 census Harriet Hughes was head of household with children William, Sarah, James, John, Minnie and Mary A. The children ranged in age from 11 to 2. No husband in sight. My great great grandfather and Harriet married in 1882. By the time of the 1900 census the only children living with Theo and Harriet Morgan were from their marriage a son Eli (who married but I have no idea whom) and a daughter Alice who married Jacob Shanholtz. But what became of Harriet's children from her first marriage? Does anyone have any of these folks in their line? Theresa
