    3. Hi Joe, Try a mystery game, everyone loves a mystery. You can use the format for a scavenger hunt. We have a history class come in every year to the library and lean about local history this way. Print and number the questions on a sheet of paper for each player. Then the players need to search for the answers. In the meantime ask other family members for an ancestor story they want to share. They will meet new kin in the process as all ages will be involved. Have easy questions just for the younger children, maybe have some people in period clothes. Having questions about historical time periods they know about will spark their interest. Some examples of questions may be. 1. My father lived all his life in PA and my mother in CA. How did I get here? A. It was during WWII when my father ________,then 19 years old, was on a ship and came to the West Coast and met my mother ________. 2.
