I'm looking for lot maps for Allegany and Garrett County from the Deakins' Survey to when Garrett County was formed. Allegany College has copies of the 1874 map of the lots after the resurvey. I looked at every map available but couldn't a copy of the Deakins maps. Would there be copies at the court house of any maps or maybe at Frostburg University? Doret

The Deakins lot is online at the Library of Congress website. There is also the later version online at http://www.whilbr.org/garrettlots/index.aspx. That page also gives the Library of Congress address.
