Hi, Theresa, The Mulligans are where I found your Catherine Regina. Carl Mulligan, Robert's or Buck's brother, was married to Margaret Elizabeth Blank. Margaret's parents were William Lester Blank and Lillian Viola Michaels. Lillian's parents were Peter Paul Michaels and Margaret Meina Martens. The Martenses were where I came in, very far removed from your aunt, I'm sorry to say. However, my husband's line is located in the Lonaconing area. His great aunt was Carrie Speir who married William Morgan. This is the line that I know little about and would love to know more. Except for census info and obits, I have little on them, although I must admit I haven't done any thorough searches at the courthouse. Another line of Morgans I am interested in is the family of Joseph Morgan and Eva Pryor of Cumberland. None of these lines cross that I know of. Sheryl
Theo did have a brother William but he somehow found his way to Crawford County Kansas - he married a woman named Anna. He is the only one of my great grandfather's brothers I know anything about. There was also a George and a John. George was born in Wales and immigrated with their parents. John as well as Theo were born here. Theo's father (also a Theophilus) had brothers Isaac and Richard and William - I know Richard immigrated since I have found his death mentioned in the Cumberland newspaper. I believe I have found his family but can not be sure. If this is the right family Richard had a son John William. And back in Wales both Isaac and William had son's William but I am not sure if they immigrated. By the way Theo's grandfather was - yes you guessed it William Morgan! I am not sure where Carlos is but I have the Morgans basically from Westernport to Mount Savage and small towns in between from 1869 on. I do know in 1905 Theo, Sr. was living in Wright's Crossing as that is where Richard died. It would be wonderful to find more about Theo's uncles - maybe one day! Theresa
William Morgan (b. Oct. 1885) who married Carrie Speir was born in Wales, the son of William D. and Mary Jane Morgan. They were from Carlos, which is a small mining town not far from Frostburg or Wright's Crossing.
