> I have a deed for the sale of a piece of property to a George W. Crowe noted as follows: Lot Eight (8) of Block Ten (10) of Frost's Heirs Addition . Does anyone have an idea where in Frostburg this might be? The deed was recorded in 1909, there are 2 possibilities in the 1910 Census, G. W. Crow, adopted son of George Maxwell Crow or G. W. Crowe, son of George Albert Crowe, this George was living on Loo St. > > Is the area in question near the old Frost Mansion? If George was living on Loo Street (now College Avenue ) he wouldn't be too far from the Frost Mansion which sits between College Avenue and Frost Avenue unless he was located east of Water Street. Connie
George W. was listed at 50 Loo St. Depending on how they renumbered the street when it changed names, I just realized that a cousin on mine, Charles "Foxie" Crowe lived at 50 E. College Ave. I wonder if this was the same house. "The Ole Crow" Dick Crow Retired & enjoying it! rw.crow@verizon.net Cell: 603-490-0153 ----- Original Message ----- From: "cbeachy" <cbeachy@hereintown.net> To: <mdallega@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 20, 2007 9:34 PM Subject: Re: [MDALLEGA] Frost's Heirs Addition > > If George was living on Loo Street (now College Avenue ) he wouldn't be > too > far from the Frost Mansion which sits between College Avenue and Frost > Avenue unless he was located east of Water Street. > > Connie > > > > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > MDALLEGA-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
